A Short History

A Church Without Walls

We are currently exploring the implications of the Church of Scotland's Special Commission on the Future of the Church in the New Millennium, or, as it is becoming known: A Church Without Walls.

We are at an early stage in this process, but as we seek God's guidance in this matter we pray that his will for us as a congregation will become clear so that our work in the community will be most effective in bringing God's love to people in need, and bringing them to a relationship with Christ and his Church.

The Road Ahead

An extremely successful Stewardship Campaign undertaken at the end of 1999 has made a huge difference to the financial stability of the congregation. This allows us to plan ahead with greater confidence and vision.

After conducting an internal audit by use of a questionnaire to a group of members of the congregation we are aware that the area where we are lacking is in the provision of small groups that can nurture people in their faith and Christian fellowship.

The Kirk Session is still considering these results and will tie them into its plans for the future.

There are many challenges ahead of us, God would not have it any other way. And these will no doubt take us in directions that we cannot imagine just yet, but we want God to use us in whatever way he chooses. It will be exciting to find out how we will be used in the future.
