In the post this week I received a couple of posters from St Andrew's Hospice in Airdrie. I'll put them up on the noticeboard for Sunday, but wanted to let you know about them now as time is pressing on.

Light up a Life

As they have done in Blantyre, and other communities, St Andrew's Hospice will be adpting lights on the Christmas Trees erected at the end of November and are offering the opportunity for people to sponsor a light upon that tree. A form is available if you would wish to do that in memory of someone special to you or you can do it online here.

St Andrew's Day Fun Run

The other poster is about a 6k Saltire Fun Run around Strathclyde Park on Sunday 29 November with the theme, "Be a Braveheart". Entry form available here.

Knowing the good work that St Andrew's Hospice do in our community and across Lanarkshire I would heartily encourage your support of these fund-raising ventures.
