It was the final day of the Holiday Club today and we finished our week of sharing in the different meals we read about in the Bible that Jesus shared with others: from a small gathering of friends in their home to thousands on a hillside.

The week was accompanied by some extraordinary culinary creations from Chef and Chefette Munchie (yes, we are available for baptisms, weddings and bar mitzvahs!), and amazingly enough today's creation worked, with a beautiful hot cross bun miraculously appearing from the oven.

But don't fret if you missed out during the week, Chef Munchie will be making an appearance on Sunday morning in the service.

We ended our week thinking about both the Last Supper and one of the resurrection Easter meals that Jesus shared with his followers, in this case with those travellers on the Emmaus road. For the last supper we shared in a very simple re-enactment of the Last Supper - a basic communion liturgy. And then we welcomed parents and grandparents to join for the last part of the holiday club to share in a meal that all the Little Chefs had prepared specially with pitta sandwiches and jam pancakes. A fitting end to a week that celebrated how Jesus dined with so many, and still dines with us, as we commemorate each time we share in the Lord's Supper.

My thanks, as ever, to all the Munchie crew from St Andrew's, Livingstone Memorial Parish Church and Blantyre Old Parish Church.

And now for a day of peace and rest!
