Dim lights Embed Embed this video on your site Looking startlingly similar to an underwater volcanic eruption, BP has finally released, not altogether willingly, some images and footage of what is going on at the seabed in the Gulf of Mexico. What you see is a 12" riser gushing black gold and gas into the gulf. With evidence now released of what is happening, independent scientists have studied the footage and the estimations of how much oil is being lost are rapidly escalating from BP's 5,000 barrels per day to more than ten times that figure. Shocking. It is a davastating waste of a precious resource and who knows what impact it will have on the ecosystem of the gulf? Godspeed to those working to get this gusher under control.
