Juice Preparation

It was a very quiet day at church this morning as the snow continued to fall. All kudos to those who managed still to make it out to worship together in a thankfully warm church, and for the young people who forsook snowballing for the morning to practise for the nativity play!

The service was a little unusual with a brief power cut in the middle as we were singing, throwing out the piano for a second but causing the projector to trip which we then had to wait another minute for while it came back on... you realise how reliant you are on having a good power supply when these things happen!

In the afternoon and evening, Carolyn and I have been very appreciative of being joined by Lindsey, Isla and James to help us plan and prepare for next Saturday's Juice for P4-7 children. We worked on getting all the materials together so that the children could make their own advent calendars. Wow, it took us a long time! Everyone left with hands full of craft materials that need further preparation so that what is left for the children is not too complicated. Sometimes the ideas that seem so simple grow legs and run away from you!

The projector was projecting a template for the position of the doors onto the wall so that we could mark them out onto the card backing and the gold covering card to ensure everything lines up! Never simple...
