The Bereavement Care Group is a small group both of church members and elders who have a particular interest in supporting those who are recently bereaved.

After a funeral service led by the minister a member of the Bereavement Care Group will visit the family to give them support in the difficult weeks that follow. A booklet containing a copy of what was said at the funeral service is usually passed to the family at that visit along with details of the GriefShare Support Group that is available.

This important ministry to families at their most vulnerable is not a counselling service, though our visitors have all received training to help them carry out their ministry.
