Nursing Home

A short walk from the church is Victoria Nursing Home. A group from the church is most warmly welcomed each month when we lead a short service with the residents. This is usually followed by a blether and a catch up on the news.

Schools

Also a short walk from the church is Auchinraith Primary School and Calderside Academy. At both schools a team chaplaincy operates. At Auchinraith Primary School our minister, Rev Peter Johnston, has chaplain's responsibility for P1-3 while Rev Steve Younger from High Blantyre Baptist Church, is chaplain for P4-7 year groups.

Calderside Academy operates a larger team chaplaincy as it draws from both Blantyre and Earnock areas. The chaplaincy team comprises:

Each chaplain has responsibility for a year group, and hold regular assemblies with their year group.
