The members of St Andrew's Parish Church have been blessed for over 20 years with an excellent pastoral care system. For many years alongside the visiting undertaken by elders a Pastoral Group visited the elderly, housebound, unwell or hospitalised.

In 2007, following the retiral of the Pastoral Group coordinator, it was decided by the Kirk Session to introduce a new system that integrated the Pastoral Group with the district elders to form six Pastoral Teams. Each team has a particular area of the town (with Team 6 covering anyone living outside Blantyre) and is given the responsibility for maintaining a pastoral link with church members in their area and particularly with those who are unable to make it to church for health or work reasons.

If you know of anyone who is unwell, in hospital or who you feel would benefit from a visit from a member of their Pastoral Team, please contact the Church Administrator who will inform the relevant Pastoral Team, or leave a message at the Church Office, 01698 327958.
