In the Spring holiday each year St Andrew's hosts a week-long Holiday Club for primary-aged children (5-12 years). This is always great fun and a wonderful opportunity to get to know some of the children living in our community.

The leadership for the Holiday Club comes from both St Andrew's and Blantyre Old Parish Church.

Easter Holiday Club 2010: Munchie's Mega Menu

Munchie's FlyerMonday 12 April - Friday 16 April, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Nazarene Hall, Elm Street

In 2010 the Holiday Club will have a food-based theme as we think about the different meals depicted in the New Testament, from the wedding feast at Cana and the feeding of the 5,000 to the Last Supper and breaking bread with friends in Emmaus.

Leading us through the week will be Chef Munchie and all primary-aged children will be very welcome to come along to share in the fun, games, activities, music, crafts, and lots more. There is no charge.

Please download the Munchie's Mega Menu Flyer and Consent Form to return to us if you or your child would like to participate.

As with our Holiday Club in 2009, the club is being written and produced by Rev Karen Harbison (Hamilton: Trinity Parish Church), Rev Peter Johnston (Blantyre: St Andrew's), Rev Bryan Kerr (Lanark Greyfriars Parish Church) with the addition this year of Kenny Maddock (Motherwell: South Parish Church).

Easter Holiday Club 2009: The Tale Machine

The Tale MachineLast year's Easter Holiday Club was The Tale Machine. This five day Holiday Club uses the famous stories told by Jesus. The themes of these parables was explored through games, crafts, puppets, music and much more giving an opportunity for the children to learn from the messages of the stories: these themes included listening, friendship, caring, action, and welcoming.

The Tale Machine was produced by Rev Karen Harbison (Hamilton Trinity Parish Church), Rev Peter Johnston (Blantyre St Andrew's) and Rev Bryan Kerr (Lanark Greyfriars Parish Church).

Pyramid Rock

In 2008 our Holiday Club transported us back to ancient Egypt as each day a new part of the story of Joseph was uncovered. Using a combination of the Scripture Union Pyramid Rock material and the film "Joseph: King of Dreams" we learnt a lot together, played games, made lots of things, learnt some new songs, and wanted it to go on longer than just one week!

Enjoy a small selection of pics from during the week.
