Sunday Funday Club

We, the children of the Sunday Funday Club, meet most weeks during term time and learn about the same theme as that being used in the morning service. Each group tackles the theme with relevant content for our ages. In a fun atmosphere our leaders aim to increase our knowledge of Jesus, God, faith, the Bible and how these affect their lives and the lives of those around us.

Usually we stay in for the first part of the service and then leave for our groups meeting in the Nazarene Hall.

In 2002 we made two £100 donations to Christian Aid and CHAS (the Children's Hospice Association Scotland). Here is a picture of John McInnes of CHAS receiving the cheque from one of our members on Pentecost Sunday, 19 May 2002.

Each year we go on a summer trip for the day. Have a look at some of the pictures from our trip to Almond Valley in May 2002.

April 2005 Holiday Club

In the second week of the Spring Break April school holiday we ran a Holiday Club for primary-aged children using the Scripture Union Xpedition Force material. The children became Xplorers following Jesus from Palm Sunday to his resurrection on Easter Day.

We had over 30 children each morning and great fun was had by all as we learnt the Xpedition Force Song, took part in Xercises, watched the videos, read the story and learnt our memory verse for each day, made things: like 'snappers', trumpets, palm branches, pictures, 'stained glass' crosses, bread, and even stress balls!

Here are just a few pictures from the week. Click on an image to enlarge.

Y NOW? October 2004 Holiday Club

Y Now LogoDuring the October Holiday week 2004 many of our primary-aged children and friends from Auchinraith Primary School enjoyed our Y Now Holiday Club.  There was lots to do! Music, games, crafts, videos, and even home-made 'Y' biscuits.

If you would like to see photos from the Holiday Club then please click on the Y Now logo on the left which will take you to the Holiday Club page.

IQ Group

We are the youth group in St Andrew's. If you want more information then have a look at our own web page (click below) or contact Maureen.

Youth Activities during week

We are aware that there is a lack of church-based activities (even if primarily social occasions) for youth in our parish.

If you have an idea for a suitable event or regular opportunity for young adults then please speak up! If you would be willing to help assist in such a venture (drop-in cafe?) then please volunteer your services.

We need your help.
